Here’s this week’s selection:

Your Custom Self👑. …. I remember when I first started my journey (and social media was just starting to be all the craze) – I would do a lot of ‘research’ ✏📝 I read a TON about anything I could get my hands on: workouts, nutrition, training regimes, transformations, supplements, dietary issues, digestive health – seriously you name it ! 👀💪🏻 I found fitness models I admired and started searching for the ‘how to’ to the physique I had always wanted 🙄🙄 I wondered (and maybe you fall victim to this) HOW did they get THAT body .. How do you they have THAT lifestyle, that success … What IS the trick ? ? ? 🙃. …… Well it’s been a couple diplomas, a degree, a couple world championship titles, a pageant queen delegacy, business creations and networking opportunities to boot, OH and a zillion obstacles, challenges, struggles and loses and I’ll say this about it all: No physique, no success small or big can MAKE you happy 😒 So what’s the point of it all? Why even bother?🤔🤔🤔. …. Well, all of the experiences, failures, trial and errors are meant to shape us and teach us what the heck is going on with us, with our bodies and our minds. It’s through these intense changes that we find who we are, where we belong, and what we can offer the world and eachother🍥💟🍥 Its this clarity that helps us get in tune with our bodies to make REAL change – once we become aware of what is making us stressed, anxious, uneasy, unfulfilled – that’s when the ‘great’ physique becomes a side effect !! Let your mind & body become in sync, figure THAT out and watch all the changes that happen in not only your physique but your LIFE ❤💟❤💟❤. …. #bts with @dave_laus & @glammmel at @cityathleticclub in #Vegas with everythinggggg Canada on MA mind – @mrscanadaglobe @mrs_globe 🇨🇦🙊. … Enjoy your beautiful Wednesday everyone, make it count!! 💪🏻 #yxe #Saskatoon

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (September 14, 2017) – Senator John Hoeven honored Miss America 2018 Cara Mund Tuesday on the floor of the U.S. Senate. Hoeven congratulated Mund, who made history last Sunday, becoming the first Miss North Dakota to win the crown. Mund served as an intern in Senator Hoeven’s office from August through December 2016.

“Cara is truly impressive, and we’re proud to have her representing North Dakota and now our entire nation.

“Following graduation from Brown University with a degree in Business, Entrepreneurship, and Organizations, Cara served as an intern in my Washington, DC office. She did a tremendous job helping us serve the people of North Dakota.

“While only 23, she has a long history of public and community service. For the past 10 years, she has organized an annual Make-A-Wish Fashion Show, which has raised over $78,500 to help make dreams come true for more than 20 kids facing life-altering conditions.

“It’s only fitting that after spending so much of her life making others dreams come true, that Cara’s own dream was made a reality last night.

“She is well-deserving of the title. Cara does a wonderful job representing North Dakota and we have no doubt she will continue to make our state proud during her reign as Miss America.”

A graduate of Brown University, Cara’s long-term goal is to become North Dakota’s first female Governor.

What Others Are Saying About “The 2018 Miss America Competition”

What Others Are Saying

The Washington Post

New Miss America: US needs seat at Paris climate pact table:
“On Monday, after taking the winner’s traditional morning-after dip in the Atlantic City surf, Mund reiterated that the U.S. should be part of the talks on greenhouse gases, which contribute to global warming. “My onstage question answer was just my personal opinion,” she told The Associated Press. “I think everyone has a right to think what they want. But it’s important to have a spot at the negotiating table.”

The Philadelphia Inquirer

At Miss America 2018, a refreshing turn from sizzle to substance:
“The evening gowns, the epic smiling, and all those waterfalls of hair onstage in the appealingly venerable venue of Boardwalk Hall were almost intoxicating… this year’s competition may well be remembered for taking its contestants seriously enough to ask them serious questions.”

USAToday.com

Miss America 2018 Cara Mund on wanting to run for office and winning the crown:
“Politics played a large part in the competition this year, with several politically-minded questions from judges during the question and answer segment. “We are the largest scholarship provider, so you should be up-to-date on your current events, and you should also have an opinion,” she said. “I don’t think other people are going to share the same opinion nor do I expect them to but the fact that each one of us knew exactly what was going on in the world, we were able to form an opinion and also to back it up.”

CNBC.com

The Ivy League grad who just became Miss America says this mentality led to her success:
“Mund believes that by entering the political arena, she can be a champion for change as it relates to reproductive rights and health care. “We need equal perspective. I’d love to see equal representation,” says Mund. “It’s important for women to join this conversation.”

The Press of Atlantic City

Miss America Cara Mund talks “dreams coming true” and granting wishes
“…Mund will also spend her year working with the Miss America Organization’s official charity partner, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Mund’s personal platform as Miss North Dakota was “Make-A-Wish Passion with Fashion,” and she was a “Certified Wish Granter” with the Make-A-Wish organization.”I think one thing people don’t realize is that Make-A-Wish children are often Children’s Miracle Network children,” Mund said. “While Children’s Miracle Network saves children’s lives, Make-A-Wish can enhance it.”
