GLOBAL UNITED PAGEANT CROWNS ITS 2017 TITLEHOLDERS

Delegates from all over the world gathered in Bloomington, Minnesota, USA at the Crowne Plaza Aire July 19-22 for the Global United Pageant™ international finals.

Contestants enjoyed a week filled with gifts, great meals, and events as pageant week was filled with opportunities for the delegates to meet new international friends and give back to the communities around them.

Wednesday afternoon found the delegates gathering together for the orientation and a meet-and-greet before heading to the Mall of America for shopping and fun.

After Thursday’s rehearsal wrapped up, delegates went to the University of Minnesota Masonic Hospital where they treated patients and families to a party and carnival fun for everyone. The evening’s return to the host hotel brought a gold banquet and talent show where Katie Kramer of Minnesota and Dana Henry of Montana were recognized for their talent performances. The night wrapped up with a pajama party as delegates tied blankets for the patients of the hospital.

With rehearsals completed on Friday, the delegates and titleholders took in the afternoon for free time at the Mall of America, or a little R&R in the host hotel. That evening, interviews began and community service entries were reviewed. Debra Nisbit took overall honors with the top score in the Interview portion of the program.

Saturday, delegates and queens gathered at the North Garden Theater for rehearsal and the Pageant finals to see who would be crowned the next Miss, Ms, Mrs, Elite, Classic and Senior Ms Global United.

That evening the Country Costume found Dana Henry, Mrs Montana, to the top of the scores with a fun tribute to the “treasure state”. The Personality Wear portion of the competition saw Katie Kramer take home the award for her tribute to her favorite sports teams. The final two areas of competition, Evening Wear and Onstage question were brought home by Dana Henry, and Debra Nisbit – respectively.

Bringing home some of the optional awards were Dana Henry for Photogenic, Lucinda DuPlesiss from South Africa for Miss Congeniality and top auction item went to Cindy Umland of, and top ad page sales to Lucinda DuPlessis.

Joining the Global United Pageant as Lifetime Queens were Tracie Chan of Malaysia, Alexandra Perez of Venezuela, Melony Butler of Minnesota, and Robbie Canner of Australia.

The Global United Pageant is a philanthropic program dedicated to community service. At least $50 is donated in each Queens’ name after her year’s reign, to a charity of her choice.
