MISS AMERICA 2018 CARA MUND RETURNS TO NORTH DAKOTA FOR HOMECOMING CELEBRATION

Atlantic City, NJ (November 7, 2017) –   Miss America 2018 Cara Mund returned home to North Dakota for a weekend-long celebration hosted by the Miss North Dakota Scholarship Organization. Cara’s homecoming events began on Thursday in Williston, North Dakota, where she attended a welcome reception with state delegates, friends, and family.

On Friday, Cara visited Bakkan Elementary where she spoke before taking photos with students and staff. Later, she attended a luncheon with her former Miss North Dakota sisters. That evening, Cara returned to Bakkan Elementary for the coronation of Lizzie Jensen, Miss North Dakota 2017. The celebration continued at the Phil Jackson Fieldhouse where Cara had the honor of introducing a group of Make-A-Wish kids and helping to grant a new wish!

On Saturday, Cara returned to her hometown of Bismarck, North Dakota. She first appeared and spoke at the Bismarck Event Center before attending the Miss America Ball held at the University of Mary.

Cara will continue her year of service traveling the country to advocate for her personal platform, A Make-A-Wish Passion with Fashion, while also supporting the Miss America Organization’s national platform partner, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
